Recyclo-Bot Project

My goal in creating my logo was to evoke a sense of the environment and excite children about the Earth and recycling. I believe I achieved this, as my logo is playful while also conveying the concept of a robot, which is the essence of Recyclo-Bots. The idea is for a child to build the bot, have fun, and be excited about doing it.

I opted for rounded shapes to lend a more friendly aspect to the bot. Additionally, I used primarily green colors to further emphasize the earth-friendly elements of the Recyclo-Bot’s intention. I transformed the legs into cans to add a recycled feel to the bot, addressing my previous concern that it didn’t fully embody the purpose of the Recyclo-Bot.

In the end, I’m pleased with my final logo and learned much about the creative process during its creation. This project has allowed me to design from a different perspective, aiming to appeal to children rather than a company or a major client. I’ve come to realize that designing for kids is crucial, as they can sometimes be harder to impress than adults, even though it might sometimes seem the opposite.
